More from Africa live with our latest update!
A more relaxed day in terms of viewings today, but certainly varied. The light continues to be great and we continue to work hard as the heat rises throughout the day.
Surprise surprise, an early start!
The sky was clear and we looked for options that would make the most of it. As a lot of you know, I love back lighting and we looked for this as we scanned the horizon.
After out first light encounters we made our way to where we heard the Lions were hanging out. As we arrived we caught a quick glimpse before they moved into the thicker bushes away from the increasing heat.
After our morning antics we made our way to a secluded breakfast location. A few moments after setting up the table, Charles radioed in saying there was a Leopard on the move nearby. Perhaps the fastest packing up of a breakfast I have ever seen happened and we quickly made our way over for a quick glimpse.
This chap is relatively new to the area and quite shy so we were very luck to catch a glimpse!
After lunch and a rest we worked near to camp as the Lions were known to be in the area. They did however prove very elusive this evening. Out Cheetah mother and cub did however put in an appearance and the sky we were treated too was rather good!
