YOWZAS! What a day!
We ventured into the Marsh area from the Mara North Conservancy today. We headed through the Musiara checkpoint which is right on the famous Marsh area.
Eagle eyed Daniel and Joe soon closed in on some of the Marsh pride and our extra early morning paid off with some great first light shots..

A simple shot before sunrise whilst we had paused to scan the area with our binoculars for cats!

Some maths for you: (First light) + (Lion) = Happy Richard

I do have a thing for portraits at the moment and encourage the group to try different options when faced with a situation. Shooting the same image 100 times is tempting when faced with a cat this amazing as the scene can overwhelm you to start with, even after years of photography!

Thanks all!
I have now left the wonderful Mara camp and arrived at the wonderful Bush Camp. Great to see Darren, Emma and the gang again and looking forward to group 2 arriving in the morning! Also, INTERNET!!!!!!! I shall catch up with some blog posts I skipped (due to the signal) tomorrow and get back on course. The signal seems much more stable here!
Thanks all!
Richard.
