AFRICA LIVE 2013 – SEPT
More images from our day in the Mara, as you may know I am actually back now so retrospectively blogging for you as the Mara internet was very patchy this time.
We started out, heading out to where we left Fig last night. She was in her usual patch and chances were we would find here in the area.
After a not so uneventful search featuring Giraffe and roaming Lions we found her up in a tree. She was on edge and watching the Masai herding their cattle. Knowing she wasn’t settled we waited; predicting she would make her way down the tree. She sure enough did before melting away into the bush in that way that only Leopards can do, and who can blame here as the Lions and a small troop of Baboons were nearby.
The evening was a little quieter on the animal front but we were treated with a great sky as the sun went down. Our Cheetah mother and two cubs bedded down for the night in a spot close to camp. We are heading to the Mara river first thing in the morning but we will certainly swing by here on the way and see what they are up to if they get an uninterrupted night’s rest!
As you know a picture tells a thousand words so on with the show….
Thanks guys, check in tomorrow to see how we got on in the main reserve and with our Cheetah mum and cubs in the morning! I promise you will love the pics!
